Falling apart!

Well, things are packed, visas delivered, documents ready, AND.....tears are falling! We are so excited about going to get our son, but leaving Anna Claire is so tough. Today alone, I have cried on a parent at our school, the neighbor, and our friend Jeremy Belk who fixed my glasses for me. We so appreciate everybody who has helped us on our journey so far. There is a a quote that it takes a village to raise a child; it takes a village to adopt one too.
Thank you to the staff at my school who donated shoes for the children at the orphanage. Altogether, we have packed 24 pairs! We can't wait to see all those happy feet.
We received an itinerary from our agency today. We are still scheduled to arrive in DaNang on Sunday, September 2. We actually get to go to the child care center that day to meet Hoang (Isaac). We will also get to visit with him on Monday. We will actually take custody on Tuesday. On Wednesday, we are scheduled to fly to Hanoi to finish passport and visa paperwork.
You may have noticed that I put Isaac above. That is the name we are planning to give our son. We chose this name for several reasons. First, it is the name Abraham and Sarah gave to the son they waited so long for. While we have not had to wait as long as Abraham and Sarah, sometimes it has seemed like it. Isaac also means laughter. We look forward to lots of laughs with our son and our family of four. His initials will be IHI - which also stands for "In His Image." We believe both our children, and all people, are made in the image of God.

Marty and Jennifer,
Phillip and I are definitely praying for you and your family. We are sooo excited about the new memeber of your family. We rejoice with you in how God has blessed your family and taken you thus far. Isn't it truly amazing how God takes care of everything? He is never late, nor too early but always right on schedule. God is always faithful and I know that you will be greatly rewarded for your patience and faith in Him through all of this. I pray for your strength, guidance, safety, comfort, wisdom, and basically that God will just wrap you and your family up in His arms and that you will feel His true embrace. I can't wait until you guys return to hear all about it. I will be keeping up with you on and here and will continue to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with you as well as other friends, family, and church family that I have shared your request with. Keep us all posted. God Bless and have a safe trip to and from! We will all help take good care of Anna Claire for you so don't you worry.

Jennifer and Marty, I have been thinking about you both all day. It seemed strange to go by your empty classroom and not see you. I pray that things go smoothly for you both and look forward to meeting your new son. This is such an exciting time for your family. Jennifer, you have a great sense of humor and a lot of patience--Isaac will blossom under your love and care! I look forward to reading about your adventures. God Bless you both on your journey!

Love the name and love even more the reason you chose it. AC is doing great. Going to the FB game in Concord. Ate at Cracker Barrell on our way home from the airport. She had pancakes. I bought her some lip gloss. Funny thing she said "Aunt Cindy aren't you going to buy me something?" I said "Probably not." She said "But I thought you were going to spoil me" So I bought her the lip gloss. What a glutten I am, but you got to love her. Take care, we love you, I pray God's hedge of protection around all three of you. Love Cindy

I love the new people we get to "meet" through adoption!! We're thrilled that you made the connection of our boys...both Hoang, living in the same foster home. We're certainly praying for safe, uneventful flights & that you can get sleep--or at least some rest---on your flights. I'm sure it was hard saying good-by to your Anna Claire; we'll be praying for your time apart.
Enjoy EVERY moment! Cherish the little things--even if they're frustrating. Enjoy soaking up the culture & uniqueness of Vietnam. Those memories can be something you share with Isaac as he grow.
Thanks for taking our package!!

I am definitely thinking of you and praying for all three of you. I hope you have a safe and exciting trip - I'm sure it will be exciting! I can't wait to meet Isaac!
